The meaning of life

I'd like to share a fragment of Lecture 11 of the 3rd year of the Youth occult class, held by the Master on 30.12.1923 in Sofia

"... Someone says: I want to resolve the meaning of life. The meaning of life is resolved. It can not be resolved as you think, for one, two or more days, a year or two, a hundred or more. Its resolution stands outside of time and space. Never try to resolve the meaning of life. I walk by the way, meet a man who broke his leg. The meaning of life at this moment is to bind his leg. I meet a student somewhere who wants to study, but has no book. I have this book, give it to him. In this case, the meaning of life is to borrow him this book. Further the way, I see a widow who has a child who wants to go to school to learn, but has no money. I take this child, bring it to school, pay for it. Here is de meaning of life in this case. Then I meet a musician who wants to play, but there's nobody to inspire him and asks me: Can you sit down with me to listen to me for half an hour? I sit, listen to him carefully. He is playing and inspired. In this particular case, this is the meaning of life for him and for me. ..."
